About the event
Waananga Hapuu is a kaupapa designed to support hapuu maamaa and their whaanau during the sacred journey of pregnancy. Grounded in tikanga Maaori and Maatauranga, these waananga provide a safe and nurturing space to share knowledge, celebrate hapuu maamaa, and prepare for the arrival of peepi.
At its heart, Waananga Hapuu is about connection - to whakapapa, to taiao, to whenua, and each other.
It is a space where maamaa and whaanau can come together to honour the precious journey of bringing new life into the world.
